So not wanting to waste anytime thinking too much I asked the boys to fish out of their bags their school books. Geography landed on the desk first and we looked to recent work ... on migration. We established prior learing and I asked them how could they develop an interesting resource on Migration.
We decided on the outcome: A short animation that would explain reasons for migration. They decided the following key elements should be addressed:
What is migration?
What factors effect migration - ie push and pull factors.
What will they come up with? We have set a 2 period limit so that means 1 hour 40 mins to create the animation.... creative and productive use of time then...
